Meet Simon
Head of the Canary Islands Branch
Simon, born in France in 1993, developed a deep passion for sailing through family voyages across diverse waters, including the Mediterranean, Brittany, Thailand, the Caribbean, and Polynesia. He honed his skills at the Glénans Sailing School and spent seven years instructing both children and adults in dinghy sailing and windsurfing.
Pursuing his passion professionally, Simon trained as a skipper at Club Yachting Tenerife, an RYA-approved center, and began his career at 24. His experiences span the Mediterranean and North Atlantic, including a significant voyage beyond the Arctic Circle aboard the Southern Star in 2019.
As a certified RYA Cruising Instructor and RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, Simon founded his own sailing company in 2019, offering tailored sailing experiences that blend nautical adventures with activities like excursions, ski tours, treks, historical site visits, botany, golf, and gastronomy. As the head of Helmsmen Academy's Canary Islands branch, he is dedicated to providing exceptional sailing education and unforgettable experiences on the water.
